COLUMBIA, Mo.-The Oral Roberts men's golf team dropped three strokes and moved up into ninth place after two rounds of the COG Mizzou Intercollegiate, Monday, at the Club at Old Hawthorne. The hosting Tigers of Missouri are running away with the team competition with scores of 275 and 289 (564), putting them at -12 after 36 holes, 20 shots better than IUPUI, which sits in second at +8. The Golden Eagles shot 302 and 299 in the respective rounds, carding a 601 (+25) for the first two rounds, five shots back of Wisconsin.
David Holtgrewe (77-72) and Bryan Boaz (74-75) are tied for 23rd after 36 holes with scores of 149 (+5). Shannon Allen shot 76-75 and sits tied for 34th with a score of 151 (+7). Scott Newell is two shots back of his teammate and tied for 43rd with rounds of 76-77, giving him a two-round score of 153 (+9), while Trevor McInroe shot 76-80 (156, +12), tying for 60th overall
ORU will be paired with Nebraska and Wisconsin for the third and final round on Tuesday, starting on holes 7-9 at 8 a.m.
