Razorbacks Post 7-0 Sweep of ORU

Fayetteville, AR—The Oral Roberts men’s tennis team dropped an 0-7 decision to the #68 ranked Arkansas Razorbacks Wednesday afternoon in Fayetteville.

Mikhail Trukshanin, the defending Summit League Player of the Week, suffered an 0-6, 3-6 setback to Chris Nott in #1 singles.

Igor Sobolta and Dario Beslic each dropped 2-6, 3-6 decisions in #2 and #3 singles, while Dmitry Suslov 3-6, 3-6 to Manfred Jeske in the #4 slot.

In #5 singles, it was Hall Fess pulling out a clean 6-0, 6-0 win over ORU’s Matthew Tansil, before Mike Nott defeated Matthew Prevost 6-1, 6-0 in #6 singles.

Arkansas kept their foot on the gas in doubles play, defeating the team of Sobolta and Trukshanin 8-4 in #1 singles and holding off the duo of Beslic and Suslov 8-2 in #2 doubles.

The host Razorbacks finished the afternoon with an 8-0 victory over Tansil and Prevost in #3 doubles.

With the loss ORU fall to 2-6 on the year, while Arkansas moves to 6-10.

ORU is back in action on Friday, as they host Summit rival IUPUI at 2:00 p.m.
