Fort Wayne, IN—Oral Roberts men’s tennis wrapped up the Summit Cluster with a 7-0 sweep of Centenary on Saturday afternoon in the final match for both teams.
Mikhail Trukshanin was right back in the win column with a 6-0, 6-4 victory in #1 singles competition, and also teamed up with Igor Sobolta to nab an 8-7 (7-2) win in #1 doubles action.
Sobolta dominated his #2 singles match 6-0, 6-1 over Garrett Whipple, while Dmitry Suslov pulled out a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Centenary’s Sam Grace in the #3 slot.
Dario Beslic (6-1, 6-2), Matthew Tansil (6-3, 6-4) and Matthew Prevost (6-3, 6-0) also earned singles victories for the Golden Eagles.
The win marks the second-straight for ORU, and moves the men to 3-1 in Summit competition and 4-7 overall.
ORU is back in action next Friday as they take on UMKC at 2:00 p.m. in Kansas City, Missouri.
