Matthew Prevost and the Golden Eagles fell to Oklahoma State
TULSA, Okla. - Oral Roberts University lost their fourth match of the season on Monday night, a 7-0 decision at the hands of Oklahoma State University.

Down to just four healthy players due to injury, ORU (0-4) conceded two singles points and a doubles match to the Cowboys (2-0).

In the two completed doubles matches, OSU’s Rifat Biktyakov and Vlad Bondarenko knocked off Alvaro Gutierrez and Oscar Witzand, 8-3, in the top flight, while Eric West and Trevor Horstmann dropped Matthew Prevost and Nathaniel Avery, 8-2.

ORU put up their greatest challenge at No. 1 singles, where Gutierrez battled before falling to Bondarenko, 6-0, 6-4. Witzand also put up a fight in the second flight before Biktyakov scored a 6-1, 6-2 win.

The next two courts were big wins for OSU. Christopher Haworth earned a 6-0, 6-0 win over Avery, while Horstmann won by the same score over Prevost.

ORU’s next crack at a victory comes on Saturday, Feb. 11, when they take on Stetson.
