FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. - A handful of competitive matches could not produce a point for Oral Roberts University on Saturday afternoon as they fell in neutral court action to Stetson University, 7-0.
The Golden Eagles are now 0-5 on the season.
The Hatters took control by winning both completed doubles points. Didrik Berg and Njal Stene beat Oscar Witzand and Alvaro Gutierrez in the top flight, 8-3, while Maksim Levanovich and Chester Espie dropped Parker Allen and Nathaniel Avery, 8-2.
In the top flight of singles, Levanovich beat Gutierrez, 6-1, 6-4, and Stene won the second court over Allen, 6-0, 6-2. Berg took down Witzand in the third flight, 6-0, 6-1, while the No. 4 spot was won by Hans Adrian Riseng, 6-1, 6-1, over Avery.
On the fifth court, Espie scored the win over Matthew Prevost, 6-0, 6-0. The sixth court was awarded to Stetson with ORU only dressing five players.
The Golden Eagles return to action on Feb. 15, when they host Oklahoma Baptist.
