ORU is now 1-9 on the season.
The Golden Eagles could not manage a point in Monday’s match, a late addition to Coach Chris Milliron’s schedule. The Panthers (7-2) opened the sweep with two doubles victories.
Nathaniel Avery and Alvaro Gutierrez fell at the top spot, 8-4, to Andy Blair and Sergio Manzanas, while Parker Allen and newcomer Pedro Moreno fell to Roman Gonda and Lukas Kriem, 8-3.
Singles play also went Drury’s way. Blair dropped Gutierrez in a competitive top flight match, 6-4, 6-3, while Kreim took care of Allen at the second spot, 6-1, 6-0.
Moreno lost at the third spot to Gonda, 6-1, 6-0, and Manzanas beat Avery in the fourth position, 6-1, 6-3.
The Panthers also took points at the fifth and sixth spots by default.
Moreno’s appearance was the first of his ORU career.
The Golden Eagles return to the court on Saturday, March 24 when they host Creighton.
