St. Louis, MO—The Oral Roberts women’s tennis team dropped a 4-2 decision to the University of St. Louis Friday afternoon in St. Louis, Missouri.
Iryna Khatsko highlighted the Golden Eagle attack with a 6-4, 4-6, 11-9 victory over SLU’s Hailee Elmore in #1 singles action.
In #2 singles, SLU’s Stephanie Hollis pulled out a 6-0, 6-2 win over Lina Semenova.
The Golden Eagles bounced back for their final win of the afternoon as Kristin Gray recovered from a 1-6 setback to post 7-5, 10-6 wins over Casey Miller in #3 singles.
Mia Elmore escaped with a 6-1, 6-2 #4 victory over Ekaterina Kondrashova, while SLU pulled out consecutive victories over ORU’s Rachel Scroggs and Brittney Smith at the #5 and 6 spots.
The match did not include doubles competitions.
With the setback, ORU falls to 1-4 on the season. The Golden Eagles return to action on February 27, when they host Sam Houston at 9:00 a.m.
