Iryna Khatsko posted the lone win for ORU with an impressive 3-6, 7-5, 10-7 win over Alina Shazhko in #1 singles.
Lina Semenova went three sets with Paola Montuenga in #2 singles, before falling 6-3, 3-6 and 9-11.
Stephen F. Austin controlled the action the rest of the way, as Andreea Enica downed Kristin Gray (6-2, 6-1) in the #3 spot, while Tori Dollar fell 0-6, 3-6 to Ksenia Berestetska in #4 singles.
Ekatrina Kondrashova was defeated by 2-6, 2-6 in #5 singles and Rachel Scroggs dropped the final singles bout 4-6, 3-6.
The Golden Eagles failed to get anything going in doubles play, with Semenova and Khatsko stumbling to a 4-8 setback, before Gray and Dollar suffered a 3-8 defeat and Scroggs and Kondrashova fell 4-8 in #3 doubles.
With the loss, ORU drops to 1-5 on the young season. The Golden Eagles are back at it on February 27, when they host Sam Houston at 9:00 a.m.
