ELMHURST, Ill. - Oral Roberts University junior Tori Dollar has been named Summit League Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, the League office announced today. The weekly award is the first of Dollar’s career.

The Kiev, Ukraine native went 2-1 in singles play during ORU’s first four matches. Dollar earned a 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 victory over UALR’s Nina Yates on Jan. 15 and triumphed over Oklahoma State’s Leyla Simmons, 6-3, 6-3 a day later.

Both wins came at the No. 6 position.

Dollar also notched a doubles win during the reporting period, combining with Kristin Gray to trump UALR’s Yates and Veronique Luksich, 8-4.

As a freshman in 2010, Dollar blazed through the Summit League schedule with a perfect 6-0 record in No. 6 singles.

ORU (1-3) returns to the court on Saturday, Jan. 28, when they face North Texas.
