TULSA, Okla. - Head Coach Sheera Sirola is proud to announce that Broken Arrow native Kylie Johnson has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete for the Oral Roberts University volleyball team in 2012.

Johnson was a four-year letter winner at Union High School, where she participated on four Region Championship Teams. In 2009, Johnson led Union to a runner-up finish in the OSSA Class 6A State Tournament. She was coached in high school by Chadd McKee.

An outside hitter, Johnson was a three-time All-Frontier Valley Conference selection, and she was named Conference Player of the Year as a senior. Johnson also earned All-State honors in her final two seasons.

Johnson tallied 87 kills and 255 digs as a junior and followed that up with 171 kills and 187 digs as a senior in 2011.

Johnson played club volleyball for the Club One 18 Black squad, where she was coached by ORU volunteer assistant Dane Hendrix and was a teammate of fellow ORU signee Sadie Schaffner. Johnson led the team to a spot at the Junior Olympic National Tournament this summer in Ohio.

Sirola led ORU to a 20-10 record last season, including a runner-up finish at the Summit League Tournament.
