KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Serena Cate and Laura Taylor posted double-doubles as the Oral Roberts volleyball team remained unbeaten in Summit League play with a 3-1 victory (19-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-20) over UMKC on Thursday night. The Golden Eagles earned their third straight win to improve to 5-5 overall and 3-0 in conference action.

Cate led the Golden Eagles with 14 kills, 11 digs and four blocks, while Taylor handed out 40 assists and tallied a career-high 13 digs.

Sophomore Joana Gruber (Santa Rosa, Brazil) just missed a double-double with nine kills and a career-high 17 digs, while Tatum Fredeen (Bentonville, Ark.), Elizabeth McVicker (Owasso, Okla.) and Jocelyn Swier (Ripon, Calif.) also chipped in with nine kills apiece.
 
Olivia Ophus (Tulsa, Okla.) turned in her best performance of the season with 17 digs and a career-high five service aces.

The Golden Eagles hit .237 with 54 kills, while holding the Kangaroos (3-9, 0-3) to a .147 hitting percentage.

ORU returns to play at Southern Utah at 8:00 p.m. CT on Saturday night.
