Volleyball Swept by North Dakota State on Friday

TULSA – The Oral Roberts volleyball team fell 3-0 (18-25, 18-25, 23-25) to North Dakota State on Friday night at the Aerobics Center as the Bison pushed their Summit League winning streak to 41 games.

Tatum Fredeen (Bentonville, Ark.) paced the Golden Eagles with 14 kills against four errors for a .294 hitting percentage, and also chipped in eight digs.

Newcomer Luara Rosa (Sao Paulo, Brazil) added a spark to the Golden Eagle lineup, smashing eight kills and posting 10 digs.

Freshman setter Laura Taylor (Broken Arrow, Okla.) recorded 23 assists, four kills and five digs, while Cassidy Holmes (Tulsa, Okla.) tied a game-high with 14 digs.

Olivia Ophus (Tulsa, Okla.) added six kills and seven digs, while fellow sophomore Elizabeth McVicker (Owasso, Okla.) also tallied six kills.

The Golden Eagles (5-7, 3-2) recorded 42 kills to North Dakota State’s 39, but hit just .152 while the Bison hit .257.

Brynn Joki of North Dakota State (7-5, 4-0) posted the only double-double of the match with 10 kills and 14 digs.

ORU returns to action against South Dakota State at 2:00 on Sunday at the Aerobics Center.
