TULSA, Okla. - Oral Roberts University head coach Sheera Sirola is proud to announce the addition of five newcomers for the 2014 volleyball season. Lucija Bojanjac, Shelby Cox, Maggie DiPronio, Megan Doran and Laura Milos have all signed National Letters of Intent to join the ORU program next season.

“We are bringing in a very talented group of players, and I expect this class to make a big impact on our program as soon as they arrive on campus,” said Sirola. “This class should mix well with our returning veterans to improve our team at several positions.”

Bojanjac is from Zagreb, Croatia, where she attended Sportska Gimnazija and was coached by Nino Matjacic. Standing 5-6, Bojanjac was named the Best Setter at the 2011 Croatian Junior National Championship and the 2008 and 2009 Croatian Youth National Championships. She is the daughter of Damir and Nada Bojanjac.

Cox is a 6-0 middle blocker from Round Rock, Texas, where she lettered at Cedar Ridge High School. Cox was a three-time 1st team all-district selection at Cedar Ridge, where she is the all-time career leader in kills and blocks. Also outstanding in the classroom, Cox was an honor roll student who earned three academic all-district selections. She is the daughter of Craig and Nancy Cox.

DiPronio is a 5-8 libero from Round Rock, Texas and a standout at Round Rock High School. She led her club team, Austin Juniors, to a USA Volleyball national championship in 2013, and she led Round Rock to an area championship in 2011. A National Honor Society member, DiPronio is the daughter of Ronald and Katherine DiPronio.

Doran is a 5-11 middle hitter from Tulsa, where she led Victory Christian School to a 31-10 record this season. Doran averaged 6.1 kills and 2.3 blocks per set as a senior, when Victory was ranked 4th in the state. She is the daughter of Joe and Nicole Doran.

Milos hails from Porec, Croatia, where she attends SS Mate Balota. She led her club to a 3rd place finish in the 2013 Croatian State Tournament, and she was also part of the team that won the 2013 Croatian State Junior Tournament. The 5-9 outside hitter also competed for the Croatian national team at the 2011, 2012 and 2013 European Youth Championships. Milos is the daughter of Damir and Barbara Milos.

Third-seeded ORU (22-6, 14-4 SLC) opens play at the 2013 Southland Conference Tournament on Friday afternoon, when they face sixth-seeded Houston Baptist. Match time in Corpus Christi, Texas is booked for 1:30 pm CT.
