Tulsa, Okla - Mike Torrence had a breakthrough performance on the mound for the Golden Eagles (3-5) as they defeat Central Arkansas, 3-1.
Torrence (1-1) pitched six and one-third innings, allowing just three hits and one run while striking out seven batters on the day.

The Bears jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when Willson's two-out single to right field brought home Forrest Allday. Willson was picked off on the next play to end the inning.
ORU took the lead for good when Kevin Cho hit a perfect sacrifice bunt down the first base line to score Schiller. Pickar added an insurance run later in the inning with a single to right field that scored Brandon Healy.
Joe Spring, who relieved Torrence in the seventh-inning, gave up the only other hit by Central Arkansas, as he pitched one and one-third scoreless innings. Matt Rush came on the close the ninth for ORU. Rush recorded his tenth career save and first of the season.
