ORU Falls to No. 17 Arkansas

Fayetteville, Ark. - Oral Roberts fell 6-1 to No.17 Arkansas on Tuesday night at Baum Stadium.

Oral Roberts dropped to 21-19 overall after being held to a single hit for the second time this season.

Phillip Wilson (1-2) made his first start for the Golden Eagles, pitching two innings while allowing two runs off two hits.

Jared Schlehuber drove in the lone run of the game with a groundout in the ninth after Jose Trevino recorded the lone hit of the game for ORU. Trevino's hit saved Oral Roberts from being no-hit for the first time since 1969.

Arkansas (29-12, 9-9 SEC) defeated the Golden Eagles for a third consecutive year, improving to 8-6 against ORU under Rob Walton.

Shortstop Tim Carver hit his first two home runs of the season to lead the Razorbacks' offense.

Seven Arkansas pitchers took a no-hitter into the ninth inning. Starter Trent Daniel (1-0) is credited with the win after pitching three innings with five strikeouts.

The Golden Eagles are back in action against South Dakota State on April 27 at 3 p.m. in Brookings, South Dakota.
