Wilson Named to Summer All-Star Game

TULSA, Okla.-Rising sophomore pitcher Phillip Wilson has been named to the Coastal Plain League All-Star game, it was announced Monday by the league. The 14th Annual All-Star game will be played on Monday, July 23 at Fleming Stadium in Wilson, N.C., with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

Wilson is playing for the Florence (S.C.) RedWolves over the summer after making 14 appearances and one start on the mound for ORU in his freshman campaign.

Over the summer, Wilson has been one of the best relievers in the Coastal Plain League with a 0.84 ERA, the second lowest among anyone in the league with at least 10 appearances. He has a perfect 4-0 record and two saves, striking out 19 batters in 21.1 innings of work.
