Trevino Earns Fourth Freshman All-American Honor

TULSA, Okla.-After his stellar freshman season, ORU third baseman Jose Trevino has been named a second team Freshman All-American by Perfect Game.

Trevino was also named a Freshman All-American by Louisville Slugger, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, and Baseball America after hitting .317 with 18 doubles, three triples and an ORU freshman record 13 home runs.  

He tied the single-game record with three doubles in a game and also broke freshman records in hits (78) and RBI (57).

The 2012 Summit League Newcomer of the Year is currently playing on the US Collegiate National Team and went 5-for-10 (.500) in the first three games at Honkbal Week, a tournament in Haarlem, Netherlands.
