ORU Baseball Headed to Fort Worth for NCAA Regionals

TULSA—The Oral Roberts baseball team has been assigned to the Fort Worth Regional as the No. 4 seed and will face regional No. 1 seed and host TCU at 7 p.m., Friday, June 3 at Lupton Stadium.

Joining the Golden Eagles (36-20) and Horned Frogs (42-17) are No. 2 seed Oklahoma (41-17) and No. 3 seed Dallas Baptist (39-17). TCU, Oklahoma and DBU all made the regional field as at-large selections. OU and Dallas Baptist will square off at 2 p.m. on Friday.

The Golden Eagles are making their 14th consecutive NCAA Regional appearance, and 23rd overall. ORU’s string of 14 straight regionals is the fifth-longest active streak behind Miami (39), Florida State (34), Cal State-Fullerton (20) and Rice (17).

The winner of the Fort Worth Regional will advance to Super Regionals and face the champion of the Houston Regional for the right to advance to the College World Series in Omaha, Neb. The Houston Regional features national No. 8 seed Rice, Baylor, California and Alcorn State.
