Bennett made the team as third baseman after splitting time between third and second for the Golden Eagles this season. He appeared in 56 games with 52 starts and batted .287 with 10 doubles, three home runs and 24 RBI.
Bennett was named second-team All-Summit League and earned a spot on the Summit League All-Tournament team. He is the first ORU position player to earn freshman All-America honors since Kelly Minissale in 2005.
Gonzalez posted an 8-7 record with a 3.41 ERA while appearing in 19 games, including 18 starts. The right-hander struck out 100 batters and allowed just 96 hits in 105.2 innings pitched.
Gonzalez earned both Summit League Pitcher and Newcomer of the Year honors and was selected as Summit League Tournament MVP. The last ORU pitcher to earn freshman All-America honors was Jerry Sullivan in 2007.
