Trevino Earns Baseball America Freshman All-America Accolades

DURHAM, N.C.-ORU third baseman Jose Trevino was named to his second freshman All-America team of the year, earning second team freshman All-America honors from Baseball America, it was announced by the organization, Wednesday.
The 2012 Summit League Newcomer of the Year and first team all-conference selection posted one of the best performances by a freshman in ORU history. He led, or was tied for the overall team lead in batting average (.317), hits (78), doubles (18), triples (3), home runs (13), RBI (57), slugging percentage (.573) and sacrifice flies (6).
He tied the single-game record with three doubles in a game and broke the ORU freshman records in hits, home runs, and RBI during the 2012 season.
