TULSA, Okla. - Pitcher Drew Bowen and first year head coach Ryan Folmar highlight the College Sports Madness Southland Preseason All-Conference teams, it was announced on Thursday. The Southland Conference will release their Preseason All-Southland teams next Wednesday.

Madness honored Bowen on Thursday as the conference's top pitcher, while Folmar was named the preseason coach of the year. Folmar took over the reins of the program in June, after serving as the Oral Roberts assistant the past nine seasons.

Joining the senior Bowen on the first team was fellow pitcher Alex Gonzalez and third baseman Jose Trevino. Bowen led the Golden Eagle pitching staff in 2012 with a 7-2 record, four complete games and added a save in his only relief appearance, while Gonzalez came in with a 6-3 record.

Trevino took the Summit League by storm during his freshman season, looking to make a statement during ORU's first season in the Southland as well. The Corpus Christi, Texas, native led the Golden Eagles with a .317 average and was tied for the team high with 13 homeruns.

Junior infielder Brandon Healy found his name on the Madness preseason list as well as he was named to the second team. Healy averaged .274 with 31 hits and drove in 13 Golden Eagle runners.

The Golden Eagles take the field at J.L. Johnson Stadium to open the season on Friday, Feb. 15, as they host the Billikens of Saint Louis for a three game set.
