TULSA, Okla. - The Oral Roberts baseball team looks to snap their current skid on Tuesday and Wednesday as they head to Norman to face in-state rival No. 17 Oklahoma. Start time for each contest is set for 6:30 p.m.
Despite the Sooners being from a high major conference, the series since 2003 has been even, with each squad winning four games. Overall, the Sooners hold a slight lead in the win column with 34 victories to ORU's 29.
Last season, Oklahoma took both meetings, winning in Norman on March 27, 5-2, and back in Tulsa on April 17, 6-3. In the second game, then freshman Logan Domenico had a hit and scored a pair of runs, one of which came when he was driven in on one of Jose Trevino's two hits.
In 2013, OU has dominated the competition, entering the week with a 17-4 record and just one loss at L. Dale Mitchell Park on the OU campus. They are led at the plate by junior Matt Oberste who is batting .474 with six home runs, six doubles and three triples.
Oklahoma is coached by former ORU skipper Sunny Galloway.
