ORU baseball announces schedule for Fall World Series
TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts University baseball team will hold their annual Fall World Series from Thursday, November 7 through Saturday, November 9 at J.L. Johnson Stadium on the ORU campus. Admission is free to the best-of-three series.
Thursday’s opening game will start at 6 p.m., while Friday’s contest will begin at 4 p.m. First pitch for the finale on Saturday is schedule for 1:30 p.m.
“We have had a good fall and this is a great way to end it,” said Head Coach Ryan Folmar. “It is fun to watch how our players react when we simulate, as close as we can, a three-game series. We have a lot of new faces that our fans will get to know. It’s a great way to get a head start on seeing players that will make an impact for us this spring. I hope some of our fans have a chance to come out and support their 2014 Golden Eagles.”
The Golden Eagles finished 2013 with a 26-35 overall mark and finished in a tie for third with a 16-11 record in their first season as members of the Southland Conference. The 2014 schedule kicks off on February 14 at home when the Golden Eagles host Southeast Missouri State in a three-game set.
