Golden Eagle baseball travels to Missouri State
TULSA, Okla. – The Oral Roberts University baseball team searches for its first mid-week victory of the season as they travel to Missouri State for a pair of games on Tuesday and Wednesday. Both contests are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
ORU (18-26, 13-8 SLC) and Missouri State (27-16, 11-7) earned opposite results in their respective conference series this past weekend as the Golden Eagles took three game from Lamar and the Bears were swept by Wichita State at home.
Tyler Boss leapt into the team lead at the plate with a .288 average, following a weekend when he hit .583 at Lamar. The Bears are led at the plate by freshman Tate Matheny with a .346 average, including four home runs, ten doubles and a triple.
The Golden Eagles lead the overall series with the Bears, 26-17, dating back to 1979. However, ORU won just one of four contests 2012 against MSU.
