TULSA, Okla.-The Oral Roberts men's basketball team will host St. Gregory's in the Golden Eagles' 2012-13 home opener, Wednesday, November 14 inside the Mabee Center.
Wednesday's game will be broadcast live in the Tulsa area on AM 1550 "The Sports Animal." Free audio, and video through the ELIve subscription service, will be made available at www.ORUGoldenEagles.com.
ORU is coming off a 20-point loss to UTEP in the season opener, but will try to continue a 23-game regular season home winning streak. The last regular season home defeat was December 30, 2010 against Oakland. Warren Niles scored 19 points, while Shawn Glover added 12 and Damen Bell-Holter had 12 rebounds in the season-opening loss.
St. Gregory's enters Wednesday's game with a 1-1 record after hosting the Cavalier Classic to start the year. The Cavaliers beat Oklahoma Wesleyan on a buzzer-beater by Fayzon Richey in the first game, falling to Southwestern Christian University 91-85 in the second game. Wednesday's game will be counted as an exhibition game for SGU, and will not count against the record of the NAIA school.
