Pivotal Conference Weekend Starts with Northwestern State

TULSA, Okla.-The top three teams in the preseason poll and the only three to escape the opening weekend of conference play without a loss will be in Tulsa this weekend, as ORU returns home for two important games. The stretch will begin on Thursday as the Golden Eagles play host to Northwestern State at 7:30 p.m. at the Mabee Center and continue Saturday against Stephen F. Austin.

Thursday's game will be broadcast live in the Tulsa area on 97.1 FM "The Sports Animal." Free audio will also be provided at www.ORUGoldenEagles.com. Video will also be available on the ORU athletics website, and TV coverage will be provided by Golden Eagle Broadcasting (DirecTV Channel 363 and Fox College Sports.

ORU and Northwestern State have played three times, including twice in 2000, and the Golden Eagles have never beaten the Demons. Most recently, Northwestern State took an 85-78 victory inside the Mabee Center on December 18, 2000.
