TULSA, Okla.-With the exception its travel partner Central Arkansas, the Oral Roberts men's basketball team (12-8, 7-1 Southland) has completed the first half of the conference slate and will face the first rematches of the year this weekend as they host a pair of Southland Conference opponents.
Nicholls State (6-12, 5-3 Southland) will come to the Mabee Center on Thursday for a 7:30 p.m. game, while Southeastern Louisiana (7-11, 5-3 Southland) travels to Tulsa on Saturday to serve as the homecoming opponent for the Golden Eagles.
Thursday's game will be broadcast live in the Tulsa area on 1550 AM "The Sports Animal." Free audio will also be provided at www.ORUGoldenEagles.com. Video will also be available on the ORU athletics website, and TV coverage will be provided by Golden Eagle Broadcasting (DirecTV Channel 363 and Fox College Sports. Mike Wolfe(PBP) and Bryndon Manzer (Analyst) will broadcast the game on TV.
Nicholls State and Southeastern Louisiana served as the first two Southland Conference opponents for ORU, with the Golden Eagles getting road wins against both schools. Nicholls State comes in having won three of the last four games, with the lone loss coming at the hands of Stephen F. Austin, who is tied with ORU atop the SLC standings.
Including the earlier matchup this season, ORU has now won all three meetings against the Colonels, and has won four-straight games this season entering Thursday's match-up.
