TULSA, Okla.-A four seed in the postseason NIT, Oral Roberts (27-6) will host the five seed Nevada (26-6) in the first round on Wednesday night inside the Mabee Center. The Golden Eagles and Wolf Pack will tip off at 8:15 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ESPN3.
ORU's current 23-game winning streak at home is the third longest active streak in the country.
Wednesday's game will be broadcast live in the Tulsa area on KYAL-FM 97.1. Free audio will be made available through www.ORUGoldenEagles.com. The game will also be streamed online through ESPN3 and on mobile devices through the Watch ESPN app.
ORU and Nevada will meet for the first time as they face off in the first round of the NIT. Both teams won their regular season conference championships but were tripped up in the second round of the conference tournaments. Prior to that, ORU had won seven games in a row, while Nevada won seven of the last eight games.
Similar to ORU, most of the offensive production comes from the starting five, who account for 85 percent of the team's points. The Wolf Pack has used the same starting five in all 32 games this season, led by Deonte Burton and Malik Story, who average 14.9 and 14.2 points per game. Starting forward Dario Hunt leads the team with 9.8 rebounds per game, including 125 offensive rebounds this season. As a team, they have out-scored their opponent by an average of 6.1 points per game and out-rebounded them by a margin of 3.9 per game.
