BOSTON, Mass. - Oral Roberts senior Dominique Morrison was named to the Lou Henson Award All-America Team by CollegeInsider.com for the second year in a row. The Summit League had two others named to the team in Reggie Hamilton (Oakland) and Nate Wolters (South Dakota State).
The trio matches the highest total of Summit League players to earn Mid-Major All-America honors in a season and marks the most selected by CollegeInsider.com.
Morrison, the Summit League Player of the Year, averaged 19.8 points per game this season, fifth-best in The Summit League and 19th nationally. He recorded 16 20-point scoring performances and led Oral Roberts to the league's regular season title with a 17-1 record.
The award is named in honor of Lou Henson who retired after a spectacular coaching career that lasted 41 years. When he left the game in 2005 he was sixth all-time in career Division I wins with 779. He is the winningest coach at both Illinois and New Mexico State. He is one of only 12 coaches in the history of the game to take two schools to the Final Four.
The winner of the 2012 Lou Henson Award will be announced on March 30 in New Orleans, site of the NCAA men's basketball championship. Butler's Matt Howard was the recipient of the 2011 award and Oakland's Keith Benson received the 2010 accolade.
