Shreveport, LA—Following two tough road losses last weekend, the Oral Roberts women’s basketball team was back in their groove Saturday afternoon, scoring a big 101-66 win over the Centenary Ladies at the Gold Dome.

Amber Carver was the story once again for ORU, as the sophomore forward had a field day with a career-best 20 points and 15 rebounds, also marking her second double-double in as many games.

Kevi Luper added a game-best 25 points and seven steals for ORU, while Savanna Buck rounded out the high scoring trio with a career-best 24 points on 8-13 shooting.

The Golden Eagles looked strong from the opening tip, stomping out to an early 25-7 lead, after holding Centenary to only three points in the first eight minutes of play.

Taking a 38-18 lead into the break, ORU increased the advantage to as many as 28 (50-22) on a Dominique Allen layup early in the second half.

ORU kept the pedal to the metal for the remainder of the contest, moving the cushion to 40 (95-55) by the four minute mark, before settling for the 35 point victory.

Priscila Cergol chipped in eight points and eight assists in her first start as a Golden Eagle, with Staci Davis adding seven points and four boards.

With the victory, ORU moves to 18-9 overall and 14-2 in conference. Centenary falls to 0-23 on the year and 0-16 in the Summit.

Just one win away from wrapping up their second-straight Summit League regular season title, the Golden Eagles head back to the Mabee Center to take on the Western Illinois Leathernecks next Saturday at 2:05 p.m.
