TULSA, Okla.-Cox Communications has announced that it will air all of the quarterfinal and semifinal games of the 2012 Summit League Tournament in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. The only exception is the 2:30 p.m. women's quarterfinal game on Sunday, which will not involve ORU and can be seen in Oklahoma City only.
"The month of March is all about college basketball and Cox Communications and the Cox Channel are pleased to be able to tip off the month with the Summit League Conference Championships," said Christine Martin, Cox Director of Communications.
ORU Associate A.D./Marketing Scott Higgins had this to say about the partnership: "We know that all of our fans cannot attend the tournament in person. I appreciate our partnership with Cox in making the games available to our fans statewide."
The ORU women are the No. 2 seed and will play at 2:30 on Saturday, March 3 against an opponent that will be determined during the regular season finale tonight. The No. 1 seed men's team will take on No. 8 IPFW at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 3. All games will be aired on Cox 3 and in high definition on channel 703. The championship games will be aired on ESPN2 (men's) and ESPNU (women's).
