CLEVELAND - Junior guard Kevi Luper of Oral Roberts University has been named to the 2012 Division I-AAA Athletic Directors Association Scholar-Athlete team, it was announced today.

The DI-AAA award is the second academic honor of the season for Luper, who is also a member of the Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-District team.

A native of Adair, Luper holds a 3.49 GPA in Business Administration.

Luper, who averaged 24.0 points and 3.8 steals per game this season, also piled up awards for her on-court performance in 2011-12. The junior added her third straight Summit League Player of the Year honor to the trophy case, and she was named 2nd Team Mid-Major All-American by College Sports Madness.

Earlier in the season, Luper was named to the Naismith Trophy watch list. She broke both the ORU and Summit League career scoring records in 2011-12.

Luper led the Golden Eagles to a 20-11 record this season and a third straight Women’s NIT bid.
