TULSA, Okla. - Oral Roberts University returns to the Mabee Center on Saturday, January 25, when they welcome Northwestern State to Tulsa. The game is slated for an early 12:30 tip time, with radio coverage available on KYAL-AM 1550 and ORUGoldenEagles.com.

Tickets can be purchased by calling 495-7ORU, and a live video broadcast is available to ELIve subscribers on ORUGoldenEagles.com.

Saturday is Hall of Fame Day at ORU, as legends Andretti Bain (track & field), Steve Holm (baseball) and Ori Zuzic (volleyball) will be inducted into the ORU Athletics Hall of Fame at halftime of the men’s game vs. Northwestern State.

Oral Roberts (4-12, 3-3 Southland Conference) played their finest game of the season on Thursday night in a 64-55 victory over Southland leader Stephen F. Austin. The Golden Eagles shot 46.4% for the game, held the Ladyjacks to 30.4% shooting and turned the ball over only 13 times.

Christian Key was on fire Thursday night, continuing her recent run of torrid play. Key scored 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting and moved past 2006 alumnus Leah Cannon for 10th place on ORU’s career three-point field goal list. The Tulsa native now has 129 career three-pointers and will move into the school’s 9th position with her first made trifecta on Saturday.

Key is averaging 21.7 points and is shooting 61.0% from the field in her last three games. She’s topped the 20-point mark in all three contests, the first such streak of her collegiate career.

The Victory Christian School product leads the Golden Eagles with 14.4 points per game, while fellow senior Sarah Shelton is averaging a team-best 7.9 rebounds per game. Shelton blocked five shots on Thursday night, including three swats in the game’s final 1:30.

Northwestern State is 10-8 (3-3 Southland Conference) and has alternated wins and losses in their last six games, including a 73-61 loss to Central Arkansas on Thursday night. Trudy Armstead scored 29 points in Thursday night’s loss and leads the Lady Demons with 15.0 points per game.

Oral Roberts is 1-3 all-time against Northwestern State and split with the Lady Demons last season. ORU won at home, 66-55, behind Key’s 15 points, but they fell in Natchitoches, 67-63, after scoring just four points in the game’s final five minutes.

Misti Cussen’s team is back on the road next Thursday night, January 30, when they take on Nicholls State. Tip time in Thibodaux, La., is scheduled for 5:30 pm, and the game can be viewed around the world on ESPN3 and the Watch ESPN app.
