Cross Country Teams Compete at Hurricane Festival

TULSA-Oral Roberts men and women's cross country teams each finished fourth at the 2010 Hurricane Festival, Saturday at Mohawk Park.

On the men's side Joseph Chebaibai led the Golden Eagles, finishing the four mile course in 22nd with a time of 21:15. Ryan Alvarez came in 25th at 21:48, while Jeramy Roberts finished 31st in 23:33.

Michael Roberts finished 34th (24:06) and Fred Brown came in 39th (26:35).

Sheilah Ndasym topped the ORU women, finishing her two mile run in 11:26, good for 12th place overall. Erin Patterson came in 26th at 12:39, and Casady Ashcraft finished 28th in a time of 13:08.

Rounding out the ORU women's squad were Marrisa Thomas in 32nd at 13:27 and Whitney Mills in 36th (14:37).

Both teams return to action at the OSU Cowboy Jamboree, September 25 in Stillwater.
