ELMHURST, Ill. - Southern Utah's Elijah Rono and Oral Roberts' Kristen Radcliff were named The Summit League's Cross Country Athletes of the Week for their performances Aug. 29-Sept. 4, marking the initial awards of the 2011 season.
WOMEN'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Kristen Radcliff, Oral Roberts

Radcliff garners her second career Athlete of the Week award after claiming first place at the Bob Timmons Classic with a 5k time of 18:38.80. She helped the Golden Eagles capture its first win since 2008 and finish ahead of Kansas, ranked seventh in the Midwest region.

MEN'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Rono captures his first career Athlete of the Week honor after finishing first against Idaho State with a 6k time of 19:01.30. The sophomore helped the Thunderbirds defeat Idaho State, ranked 15th in the Mountain region.
