TULSA-Missouri State downed Oral Roberts, 4-0, in a women's soccer match on Friday at ORU Soccer Complex.
With six players unavailable due to injuries and/or suspensions, the Golden Eagles struggled against a more aggressive Missouri State squad.
The Bears started the scoring, getting a pair of goals in the first half. Brooke Williams made it 1-0 when she stole the ball at midfield, dribbled uncontested and scored past a charging goalkeeper Amanda Wheeler in the 29th minute.
Sarah Linsin gave the Bears a 2-0 lead when she poked in a loose ball off a Nia Williams corner kick less than a minute before halftime.
Leading 2-0 at halftime, Missouri State continued its strong play in the second half. Katelyn Frederickson made it 3-0 with a goal in the 62nd minute and the Golden Eagles scored an own-goal with just over six minutes left for the final 4-0 margin.
The Golden Eagles return to action when they face Lamar, 5 p.m., Sept. 10.
