Short-Handed Golden Eagles fall to NDSU

TULSA, Okla.-The Golden Eagles, hampered by injuries, came up short against North Dakota State on the road 1-0.

ORU (4-8-1), who were without their leading scorer Maria Grados for the second straight game, lose on a late goal by freshman Anisha Kinnarath in the 87th minute. Freshman Megan Giles led the Golden Eagles with two shots-on-goal.  Senior Amanda Wheeler played all 90 minutes and had five saves and gave up one goal. The Golden Eagles fall to 1-2 in Summit League play.

NDSU (9-2-1) are now 2-0 in Summit League play. Kinnarath led the team with five shots and the goal, while senior Morgan DeMike recorded the assist.  Senior Kalani Bertsch recorded three saves.

The Golden Eagles return home to face IUPUI on October 13 at 7 p.m.
