Golden Eagles Open Double-Header Against WIU

TULSA, Okla.-The Golden Eagles will open this Saturday's double-header with a conference match against Western Illinois at 1 p.m.

The Golden Eagles (5-8-1, 2-2 Summit League) are coming off a close conference win at home against IUPUI. They have now won five consecutive home games.  Maria Grados missed two games during the last road trip, but returned in style against IUPUI, scoring the only goal of the game. She leads ORU with 7 goals, no one else has more than two. Freshman keeper Helen Erb has played well in place of the ailing senior Amanda Wheeler. Erb has 29 saves, allowed five goals, and collected two shutouts.  

Western Illinois (6-7-0, 0-4 Summit League) are fresh off  back-to-back losses in the Dakota's and are currently in the midst of a five-game losing streak. The Leathernecks leading scorer is junior Miranda Graham with three goals.  Freshman keeper Victoria Kappel  has started all 13 matches and has collected 62 saves and allowed 23 goals for WIU.
