Former ORU all-American Trevor Leu begins his second season as Director of Baseball Operations.
Trevor came to ORU after serving as a volunteer assistant coach at St. Edwards University and a private instructor at the Lumber Yard Baseball Academy in the Austin, Texas area.
In his position, Trevor supervises all student managers and helps with any day-to-day operations of the baseball office. He also handles baseball finances, works on the annual Alumni game every fall, and directs the Rob Walton Baseball Camps.
A two-time letterwinner at ORU, Leu garnered third-team all-American honors by the National Collegiate Baseball Writer’s Association (NCBWA) in 2001. Leu was a two-year all-conference performer and garnered Mid-Con Conference Tournament MVP honors in 2001. The Cameron, Okla. native was drafted by Detroit Tigers in 2001 and spent three years in the Tigers organization.
Leu came to ORU in 2000 after spending his first two years playing at Oklahoma State. Leu was a two-year letterman for the Cowboys and was named to the Big 12 Conference All-Academic team in 1998. He was a member of the 1999 Cowboy team that advanced to the College World Series.
Leu was an all-state selection and four-time all-conference performer in the prep ranks. He played his first two years at Ada High School in Ada, Okla. and then spent his last two years at Cameron High School in Cameron, Okla.
He is married to his wife, Leean, and the couple have two sons, Barrick (5) and Rhett (2).
Leu graduated with a degree in Recreation Administration from ORU in 2001.
