Scott Higgins joined the ORU Athletic Department in February, 2000 after a three year stint as a sports anchor for KOTV, Channel 6. At ORU, Higgins oversees the athletic department’s marketing efforts, which include ticket sales, advertising, radio and television packages, game operations and sponsorships. He also hosts the “ORU Sports Report” television show.

Higgins is the Summit League representative for the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators and is a member of the Rotary Club of Tulsa. Higgins is a longtime Tulsa resident who graduated from Jenks High School in 1983 and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Oklahoma State University in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in Radio/TV/Film – News and Public Affairs.

Higgins anchored sportscasts in Joplin, Mo., and Las Vegas before returning to Tulsa in 1997.

Higgins married the former Dawn Burmaster in 1987. They live in Tulsa and have three sons, Troy, Sean and Ryan.
