Former Golden Eagle catcher Brian Aguailar is in his third season as an assistant coach on the ORU baseball staff.
At ORU, Aguailar coaches first base while assisting with various other coaching and administrative duties.
Aguailar lettered for two seasons at ORU (2005-06), helping the Golden Eagles to a pair of Mid-Continent Conference Championships and NCAA Regional appearances. Aguailar was also a key contributor on ORU’s 2006 Fayetteville Regional Championship team, helping the Godlen Eagles to their first-ever Super Regional.
In 109 career games at ORU, Aguailar batted .291 with four home runs and 63 RBI. As a senior he was named 2nd-team All-Mid-Continent Conference.
Following his ORU playing career, Aguailar signed as a free agent with Colorado, spending parts of three seasons in the Rockies organization.
Aguailar orginally came to ORU after spending two seasons playing at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
