TULSA, Okla.-The Golf Coaches Association of America announced the 2012 Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars on Wednesday, a list that included ORU's David Holtgrewe.
The Cherry Hills Village, Colo., native led the team in scoring last year with a 73.5 stroke average per round. He finished as high as fifth on the season and was the top finisher for ORU in four tournaments.
In the classroom, the accounting major holds a 3.64 GPA and was nominated for the Capital One All-District Team.
A total of 146 golfers from the Division I ranks earned the honor, which is given to a junior or senior who has competed in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participated in at least 70-percent of his team's rounds, and have a stroke average under 76.0, all while holding at least a 3.2 GPA.
