Was a state champion in the 4x800m relay and finished fourth in the same event at the Junior Olympics ... earned all-state honors, the Bulldog Award, and was named the best distance runner ... her 4x800m relay team set the school record.

Daughter of Linda and Doug Monforton ... majoring in health and exercise science with hopes of becoming an athletic trainer after her running career is over ... chose ORU because of the Christian environment, Division I track program and because it was close to home.
