TULSA, Okla. - Fresh off their first win of the season this past Sunday, the Oral Roberts women's soccer team continues its home schedule with a pair matches this weekend.
The Golden Eagles will take on Southland Conference opponent Northwestern State (La.) in a non-conference battling on Friday evening at 7 p.m., followed by an early afternoon showdown with Missouri State at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the Case Soccer Complex on the ORU campus.
Friday's match against Northwestern State will be the first of two home matches against the Demons. The match was originally scheduled prior to ORU joining the Southland.
The Demons enter the weekend with 1-1 record, playing a pair of lopsided matches, including a loss at Baylor, 5-0, and a victory over Texas Southern, 4-1.
Led by senior Michelle Sommer and junior Shelby Stewart with two goals apiece this year, Missouri State enters the weekend with a 2-3 record. In their three losses, the Bears are outscored 6-1, while blanking their opponents in the two victories and scoring eight goals.
Including exhibition play, Missouri State has not been scored against in a victory.
