Played at Oklahoma Christian School for Head Coach Mark Shuck... Was a three-time Regional Champion... Placed 3rd in singles at the State Tournament as a junior... Finished as the State Runner-up in doubles as a freshman... Named All-State in 2012.

Son of Roddy and Angel Bates... Plans to major in Business Administration and attend law school after graduation... Favorite sports team is the Dallas Cowboys.
