TULSA, Okla. - The Oral Roberts men's soccer squad looks to get back on track on Tuesday evening as they host a non-conference showdown from neighboring Washington County, Oklahoma Wesleyan.

The battle between the Golden Eagles (2-10, 1-3) and Eagles (13-0-1, 3-0-0) is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Case Soccer Complex.

Oklahoma Wesleyan, a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics' Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference, enters the mid-week match ranked No. 8 in the NAIA and No. 1 in the National Christian College Athletic Association.

The Golden Eagles are coming off a Saturday evening conference loss to IUPUI, 2-0. Despite the two quick goals within about a minute apart of game time, the Golden Eagles played well, controlling the ball most of the second half. They outshot the Jaguars 14-7, and a difference of eight in the second stanza.

John David James, Cody Lofgren and Johnny Chavez each had a pair of shots on goal in the loss to IUPUI.

OKWU, their opponent on Tuesday night, enters the match with the most assists (55), goals (61), assists per game (3.93), goals per game (4.36) and shots per game (24.71) in the NAIA. They have shutout eight opponents this season.

They are led by underclassmen in Lucas Cordeiro and freshman Jack McGowan, as well as junior Lucas Almeida. All three players lead OKWU's conference in goals scored with 13, while Cordeiro leads the MCAC with 15 assists and 38 shots.

Tuesday night's match marks the first time the local opponents have met since the 1992 season, with the Golden Eagles holding a 5-1 all-time record over OKWU.
