FRISCO, Texas - Oral Roberts University’s Kevi Luper was named Southland Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, the league office announced today.
A 14-time Summit League Player of the Week, Luper scored 23 points, grabbed six rebounds and blocked three shots in ORU’s 64-53 victory over Tulsa on November 9 in the PSO Mayor’s Cup game.
The victory over Tulsa was the first for ORU since 2009.
The Adair native is the first ORU women’s basketball player to win a weekly award from the Southland Conference. Her 14 Summit League weekly honors stand as a conference record.
Luper was also named SLC Player of the Week by College Sports Madness.
Luper and the Golden Eagles return to action on Friday, November 16 against UT-Arlington. Tip time in Arlington, Texas is scheduled for 2 pm CT.
