Okla. - The Oral Roberts baseball team has won four of their last six games,
and they look to continue building on that success as they travel to Wichita
State on Tuesday afternoon.
Originally scheduled as the third matchup between the two teams this
season, the Golden Eagles (5-5) look to avenge a loss in Tulsa on Feb. 19 at
the hands of the Shockers (5-4).
Last Tuesday, a scheduled contest between the two schools was postponed
due to snow. That game will be made up on April 24 in Wichita.
The Golden Eagles are coming off a doubleheader split on Sunday
afternoon at Southeast Missouri State. ORU won the first game against the
Redhawks, 5-4, before a stunning turn of events as SEMO took game two on a
bases loaded suicide squeeze play in the bottom of the ninth, 6-5.
The doubleheader was forced because of snowy conditions in Cape Girardeau,
Mo., which postponed the series opener on Friday. ORU won Saturday's contest
with the help of the two-run homerun from Tyler Boss, 3-1.
Wichita State is coming off a four game weekend in which they beat
Western Illinois, New Orleans and Iowa. Their lone loss of the weekend came at
the hands of Central Arkansas.
