Kyle Jones is beginning his fourth year as the Assistant Athletic Director for Academics.
His current responsibilities include overseeing the academic progress of the student-athletes, acting as a liaison between Professors and the athletic department and overseeing the Life Skills/community service component of the athletic department.
Prior to his role in Athletic Academics Jones served for two years as the Assistant Director of Compliance at ORU under Associate AD Ralph Manning.
Before returning to his alma mater in the fall of 2006, Jones was the men and women’s golf head coach at Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, N.C., from 2004-2006.
Prior his time at Mars Hill, in addition to owning a business, Jones was the golf coach at Asheville Christian Academy and was an assistant coach for the men’s soccer team at Owen High School in Black Mountain, N.C.
Jones earned a Bachelors of Arts in History from ORU in 2001 and a Masters of Management from ORU in 2009. He lives in Tulsa with his wife, the former Allison Linder (ORU ‘01), their daughter Caroline and son Hayden.
